{"id":119,"date":"2011-01-22T10:33:40","date_gmt":"2011-01-22T10:33:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wendywolfe.wordpress.com\/?p=119"},"modified":"2011-01-22T10:33:40","modified_gmt":"2011-01-22T10:33:40","slug":"that-soul-connection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wendywolfe.com\/?p=119","title":{"rendered":"That Soul Connection"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_120\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-120\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/wendywolfe.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/01\/tiger-first-snow-sm.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-120\" title=\"tiger first snow sm\" src=\"http:\/\/wendywolfe.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/01\/tiger-first-snow-sm.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"229\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-120\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tiger enjoying the snow<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"mceTemp\">Why is it we are so drawn to certain animals in our lives?\u00a0 I\u2019m sure every one of you can relate to having experienced (and maybe currently so) a deep connection with one of your companion animals.\u00a0 A connection so deep, with so much love that it may even confuse you.\u00a0 Maybe you have had this connection with more than one.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For me, Tiger, now Doc, has been one of those connections (for more on this story, click here).\u00a0 From the first day I picked up Tiger and he clung to me saying \u201cplease don\u2019t put me down, take me with you\u201d, I was hooked.\u00a0 Perhaps part of our bond was that we both shared a \u201cdifficult childhood\u201d.\u00a0 We could relate on an emotional level.\u00a0 And even though he knew how to live in the present, his early months had ill prepared him for socializing and being comfortable.\u00a0 I understood what it felt like to be scared and we related in that way.\u00a0 I had deep empathy for him and we shared personality traits.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_121\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-121\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/wendywolfe.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/01\/doc-king-snow-web.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-121\" title=\"doc king snow web\" src=\"http:\/\/wendywolfe.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/01\/doc-king-snow-web.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-121\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Doc and King romping in the snow<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Of course relating on an emotional level because of shared experiences is only one small piece.\u00a0 The larger piece of this puzzle has to do with our soul\u2019s journey.\u00a0 We soul\u2019s, as pure light energy, have been clustered in groups over eternity.\u00a0 We often reincarnate into a life that brings us in contact with souls whose lives we have shared before.\u00a0 Often, when I communicate with animals, they tell me of other life times they have shared with their person.\u00a0 These lifetimes together create that deep connection that we feel.<\/p>\n<p>But there\u2019s more.\u00a0 As souls we also have agreements with other souls as to our experiences in this lifetime.\u00a0 You could say that Tiger (Doc) and I agreed to come together at the time that we did and to go through our experiences together.\u00a0 In this case, Tiger led me on a path to holistic healing and animal communication.\u00a0 He then left abruptly only to teach me about death and reincarnation.\u00a0 For him, he came to experience certain challenges his first time with me.\u00a0 When he came back as Doc, he chose different experiences, this time coming back to a loving home and healthy body.\u00a0 The deep bond that we developed was crucial to the experiences we chose.<\/p>\n<p>So what about the other animals in our lives?\u00a0 The ones we love and care for but don\u2019t necessarily share that deep soul connection.\u00a0 They too are part of our soul\u2019s chosen experiences (and we part of theirs) but for reasons we don\u2019t know now, we didn\u2019t need to have that deep bond.\u00a0 \u00a0Sometimes it is the lack of the deep bond that is also part of the experience.
