{"id":221,"date":"2011-06-16T13:55:00","date_gmt":"2011-06-16T13:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wendywolfe.wordpress.com\/?p=221"},"modified":"2011-06-16T13:55:00","modified_gmt":"2011-06-16T13:55:00","slug":"the-kittens-are-talking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wendywolfe.com\/?p=221","title":{"rendered":"The Kittens are talking."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The kittens are really coming into their own\u2026developing personalities and delighting us with their antics.\u00a0 Today I decided to talk to them and see what they had to say about whom they are, why they are here and anything else they wanted to share.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_222\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-222\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/wendywolfe.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/bed-o-kitties-web.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-222\" title=\"bed o kitties web\" src=\"http:\/\/wendywolfe.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/bed-o-kitties-web.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"183\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-222\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The kitties enjoying a soft bed<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>With kittens or other young animals you never know just what you might hear.\u00a0 Sometimes they are having so much fun in their new bodies it is difficult to keep their attention long enough to have a discussion.\u00a0 Other times, you have a young animal that is a very wise soul and surprises you with their depth of awareness and wisdom.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The orange tabby and the orange tabby and white kittens will most likely be going to live with a woman and her two daughters near Milwaukee.\u00a0 We have given them temporary names but know that those will likely be changed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Puff Puff (Muted orange tabby) was the first to come forward to talk.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Puff Puff:<\/strong> When do we get to go outside? <em>(we have been keeping them in the barn for safety<\/em>). Mom has lots to teach us.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wendy:<\/strong>\u00a0 Soon, maybe even tomorrow.\u00a0 It seems like you already understand about hunting.\u00a0 You seem to have a good instincts.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Puff Puff:<\/strong>\u00a0 Yes, but there is still a lot she needs to show us.\u00a0 (I went on to talk with him about his potential new life and new family\u2026he is open to this.)<\/p>\n<p>Calypso (Muted Calico) aka \u201cCallie\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Callie:<\/strong>\u00a0 You are very big\u2026that\u2019s scary sometimes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wendy:<\/strong>\u00a0 Yes, I know.\u00a0 As you grow older and bigger it won\u2019t feel so scary.\u00a0 You can be assured we will never hurt you.\u00a0 Everything we do is to keep you safe and healthy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Callie:<\/strong>\u00a0 Like our Mom.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wendy<\/strong>:\u00a0 Yes, but your Mom will also teach you many important things we can\u2019t teach you.\u00a0 I also want you to understand that your Mom has not had a lot of experience with humans either.\u00a0 She is also learning to trust us.\u00a0 Is their anything you want to tell other people?\u00a0 Many people will read this.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Callie:<\/strong>\u00a0 I think you should let life surprise you\u2026it\u2019s more fun that way.\u00a0 Allow adventure.\u00a0 We love to explore places we haven\u2019t been before just for the fun of it.\u00a0 <em>As she tells me this she shows me how she jumps up at virtually nothing just for the fun of it.<\/em><\/p>\n<figure Joe (aka Junior) the black and white kitty who looks like his daddy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wendy:\u00a0<\/strong> Do you like your name?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Little Joe:<\/strong>\u00a0 I don\u2019t think I\u2019m going to be little for long\u2026that might not be the best name for me.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wendy:<\/strong>\u00a0 How about Junior or just \u201cJoe\u201d as you get older.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Little Joe:<\/strong>\u00a0 I will think about it.\u00a0 I think maybe I need a stronger name.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wendy:\u00a0<\/strong> Okay, we will ask you again in a few weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Next I talked with the black female who is clearly here to join me.\u00a0 I thought of two names for her Samantha (Sammie) or Tabitha.\u00a0 I asked her which she preferred or if there was another name she might prefer.\u00a0 She likes Samantha\u2026Sammie.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Samantha:<\/strong>\u00a0 I was with you before\u2026when you were a little girl.\u00a0 I was a male kitty then.\u00a0 (I remember him).\u00a0 I came back this time as a female to bring feminine energy to you.\u00a0 But you need to be gentler with me now then when you were little.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wendy:<\/strong>\u00a0 Yes, I didn\u2019t really know how to be gentle with cats as I was very young myself.\u00a0 I will be much gentler now.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Samantha:\u00a0<\/strong> I think you are afraid your feminine side is weak.\u00a0 You think it makes you more vulnerable but it is actually what makes you so strong and resilient.\u00a0 People in your culture are wrong about this.\u00a0 Women are like the roots of a tree that give life and stability to the tree.\u00a0 As more feminine energy comes to the planet more healing and stability will take place.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Look at my Mommy.\u00a0 She gave birth to us, she has taught us many important things, she cleans us and keeps us healthy and safe.\u00a0 It is good to be female\u2026.and feminine.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wendy:<\/strong>\u00a0 That\u2019s a good point.\u00a0 Your Mom is very strong and capable\u2026yet nurturing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Samantha:<\/strong>\u00a0 I want to get to know the dogs.\u00a0 I was really good friends with your dogs before and I want to be good friends with these dogs.\u00a0 I need to teach them they can be friends with cats.\u00a0 We can all get along.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wendy:<\/strong>\u00a0 That shouldn\u2019t be a problem.\u00a0 They are okay with Red.\u00a0\u00a0 They will just need to spend time with you.\u00a0 You will need to be a little older before we introduce you.<\/p>\n<p>I welcome Samantha and all the kitties into my life.\u00a0 Over the years I have learned so much from the animals that each new one I meet is like a new book waiting to be opened, enjoyed and learned from.\u00a0 Of course they are much more cuddly than a book ;-).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Smokey and I are heading north to Lake Superior.\u00a0 I wasn&#8217;t sure if we would still make the trip after his illness but he is open to it and my guidance is urging me on.\u00a0 I have always wanted to swim in a lake with Smokey like I did with my first horse Walker when I was about twelve.\u00a0 NowI get to swim with Smokey in a very BIG lake during the Summer Solstice.\u00a0 It doesn&#8217;t get any
